Goldenwest Opens New Office in Lehi

Lehi, UT: May 8, 2012 – Goldenwest Federal Credit Union held a ribbon cutting for their newest branch today. Located inside Macey’s Grocery Store at 760 East Main Street in Lehi, it is the 19th branch location for the 76 year-old credit union.

Wahlen, Goldenwest President/CEO. “We have a successful relationship with Macey’s at our Sandy branch, and look forward to another strong partnership in our Lehi branch.”

Goldenwest Credit Union board members and officers joined in celebration with credit union employees and members to officially open the new office. Also participating in the events was Associated Food Stores Senior Vice President of Retail Coordination David Rice and Lehi City Mayor Bert Wilson. The Lehi Area Chamber of Commerce, led by Donna Milakovic, helped welcome Goldenwest to the local business community.

The new office provides members will a full-range of services, including auto and RV loans, free checking, home equity lines, business services and a 24-hour ATM. Randy Ferlin, the business development manager for the branch, will originate mortgages from this office. The Lehi office is also part of the Credit Union Service Centers “shared branching” network.

Goldenwest entered the Utah County market in 2006 with a branch office located inside BuyLow Market in Provo. The Lehi branch is the second Goldenwest office to open in Utah County. Approximately 500 Goldenwest members currently live in the Lehi area. The credit union has plans to expand its member base during the grand opening festivities.

Founded in 1936, Goldenwest serves more than 84,000 members and holds $800 million in assets. The Goldenwest corporate headquarters are located in Ogden, with 19 branches located throughout Weber, Davis, Morgan, Salt Lake, Utah, and Washington counties.
