Goldenwest Honored With Employee Wellness Awards
OGDEN, UT: July 18, 2014 - As part of Goldenwest Credit Union’s recent efforts to promote a healthier lifestyle, Assistant Vice President Ashley Shreeve lead Goldenwest Credit Union to their first victory in a wellness competition held with six credit unions across the country. The competition included exercise challenges and making healthier food choices.
Shreeve also won an award as the 2013 Hubbub Wellness Leader for her efforts and persistence in encouraging Goldenwest employees to participate in the company-sponsored wellness program. “Improving our overall health is beneficial for not only the individual, but also good for the credit union as a whole,” stated Shreeve. “We take the health of our employees very seriously. Our participation in the wellness program holds steady at 80%...which is good, but there is always room for improvement!”
Goldenwest launched the Hubbub Wellness Program in 2012. Hubbub was selected for their flexible, evolving program that doesn’t take a “one size fits all” approach to company wellness plans. Hubbub offers a user-friendly social media platform that is especially attractive to the credit union’s Gen Y employee demographic. Goldenwest employees are able to define their own wellness goals and have a variety of tools, including coaches, to create individual plans that enhance personal well-being in areas such as physical exercise, nutrition, stress reduction and mental health.
