Goldenwest Holds Ribbon Cutting for New Branch Located Inside McKay-Dee Hospital

Ogden, UTAH: June 23, 2023 – Goldenwest Credit Union held a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration on June 20th for their full-service branch inside Intermountain Health’s McKay-Dee Hospital located at 4401 Harrison Boulevard in Ogden.

“In 2017, Goldenwest’s merger with Healthcare Credit Union expanded our field of membership to include all employees and volunteers with Intermountain Health,” commented Kerry Wahlen, Goldenwest President/CEO. “The opening of McKay-Dee branch is another demonstration of our commitment to serving Intermountain Health’s caregivers in the most effective and efficient ways possible.”

About 60 people gathered to celebrate the ribbon cutting ceremony, including Goldenwest Board Chair Dan Musgrave, Vice Chair Noé Vázquez, Secretary Stoney Wayment, the executive group, and several employees representing various departments from the Credit Union. From McKay-Dee, Hospital Administrator Judy Williamson, Medical Director Masood Safaee, Nurse Adminstrator Donna Chapman, and several other members of the leadership team were in attendance. Ogden-Weber Chamber President Chuck Leonhardt and the Ogden-Weber Chamber Spikers also participated in the event.

In addition to a brief ribbon cutting ceremony, Goldenwest hosted a lunch and dinner for all 2,300 caregivers who work at McKay-Dee hospital as part of the grand opening celebration.

All Goldenwest members can enjoy a full range of products and services at the branch including teller transactions, vehicle loans, home loans, free checking accounts, savings accounts, Visa cards, and insurance services. The branch is conveniently located on the main floor across from the gift shop near the visitor entrance. Lacey Hainline has been selected to supervise all branch activity.
