Goldenwest Celebrates Opening of New Corporate Center
Washington Terrace, Utah: November 17, 2023 – After six years of planning and nearly two years of construction, Goldenwest Credit Union is proud to announce the opening of its new Corporate Center.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration marked a significant milestone for the 87-year-old Credit Union, featuring addresses from local dignitaries including a video message from U.S. Congressman Blake Moore and remarks from Utah Senate President Stuart Adams, Weber State President Brad Mortensen, Washington Terrace City Manager Tom Hanson, and Ogden/Weber Chamber of Commerce President Chuck Leonhardt. Goldenwest Chairman Dan Musgrave and President/CEO Kerry Wahlen took the opportunity to address the gathering, highlighting the Credit Union's growth and its positive impact on the community in front of over 200 invited guests. Among the distinguished attendees were Weber County Commissioner Jim Harvey, South Ogden City Mayor Russ Porter, Roy City Mayor Robert Dandoy, Utah State University Vice President of Advancement Matt White, Utah Credit Unions Association President Scott Simpson, the Goldenwest Board of Directors, and the Credit Union’s Supervisory Committee members.
The event also saw the presence of key figures from the project’s collaborative efforts, including representatives from the general contractor Wadman Corporation, the architecture firm Studio 333, and the engineering firm Anderson-Wahlen & Associates, all of whom played pivotal roles in the success of the extensive construction project.
The Goldenwest Corporate Center is an impressive five-level, 100,000 square-foot facility that stands on a four-acre parcel of land at 5151 South 400 East in the City of Washington Terrace. The architectural design of the Corporate Center showcases panoramic views of the Wasatch Mountains to the east and the Great Salt Lake to the west, adding to the aesthetic appeal of the new facility. Goldenwest’s commitment to sustainability is evident in the Corporate Center’s features, which include energy-efficient windows and doors, LED lighting, motion light sensors, drought-resistant plants, xeriscaping, and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.
This state-of-the-art facility is designed to bring together the Credit Union’s retail teams to foster collaboration and teamwork. The administrative, mortgage, insurance, commercial lending, human resources, and business development teams of Goldenwest are housed in the new Corporate Center. The retail branch and several of the Credit Union’s support departments will continue to be located at the Goldenwest “Shelley B. Clarke” office building located at 5025 South Adams Avenue in South Ogden.
The new Goldenwest Corporate Center represents the Credit Union’s dedication to the future. As Goldenwest continues to grow and adapt, their commitment to members and the community remains foundational, with a vision of providing advanced financial products and services for many years to come.
