Our Members and Employees are Everything
April 27, 2012
In 2012, Goldenwest Credit Union modified our mission statement by adding two simple words..."and employees"...to better reflect our values as an organization:
“Our members and employees are everything.
Without them, nothing else matters.”
To help our members achieve financial success, we rely upon our experienced and talented employees. I personally believe we have one of the best management teams in Utah.
At Goldenwest, we strive to provide a corporate culture that allows employees to grow both professionally and personally. As such, we are pleased to announce three of our employees were recently promoted to the position of vice president.
Diana Windley was named Vice President of Marketing in February. Her responsibilities include supervising Goldenwest’s marketing and sales departments, corporate communications and public relations. Diana has 18 years of professional experience, including 13 years in financial services marketing. She joined the Goldenwest management team in 2004 as the Director of Marketing. Diana earned a Bachelor degree in Communications from Brigham Young University in 1994.
In March, we announced David Beckett as the Vice President of Member Business Lending. Dave has 26 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 20 years of commercial lending with Goldenwest Credit Union, Zions Bank, Bank of Utah, and Barnes Bank. His assignments as the Vice President of Member Business Lending include developing relationships with new and existing business members, supervising all commercial lending activity within the credit union, and product development. Dave graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Business Management.
A couple of weeks ago, on her 25-year anniversary at Goldenwest, we shared the news that Laurie DeBry had been promoted to Vice President of Loss Mitigation and Security. Laurie's vast-experience during her Goldenwest career includes serving as a teller, loan officer, branch manager, collections supervisor and most recently as assistant vice president. Laurie completed an MBA program from University of Phoenix last year.
I am proud to be associated with the outstanding people who work at Goldenwest. As I look at the employees coming up through this organization, I believe the best is yet to come.
The first four months of 2012 have been good ones at Goldenwest. I hope your year is going well too. As always, I’m happy to receive your emails at president@gwcu.org. Also, I invite you to follow me on Twitter @GoldenwestCUCEO.
Best regards,
Kerry H. Wahlen
President/CEO
