$1.4 Million Bonus Dividend
Chairman Bill Hart and the Goldenwest Board of Directors have announced Credit Union members will earn a total of $1.4 million in December 2016 through our bonus dividend program. Over the course of 13 years, Goldenwest members have collectively earned $9.375 million with the bonus dividend.

A Season for Growth
On October 20th we announced our intent to merge with Health Care Credit Union. We are continuing with the merger application process while awaiting approval by federal and state regulators. With the addition of the eight Health Care Credit Union offices, Goldenwest members will soon have access to 12 branches in Salt Lake County and a total of 37 branches from Logan to St George.

Recognizing Goldenwest's Founding Members
On May 13, 2016, we marked the 80th anniversary of the formation of Goldenwest Credit Union. Our modest beginnings included 25-cent membership fees and a meager $10.50 in assets. Today, we are among the strongest credit unions in the nation.

80 Years of Members Serving Each Other
As we celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Credit Union this year, I’ve found myself studying our history. The Credit Union was founded on May 13, 1936 in the midst of the Great Depression by employees of the Ogden Railway and Depot Company.
