Are you still swiping your card because you have a Samsung or Android phone? Well the wait is over. Update your mobile wallet! You can now use your Goldenwest and USU Credit Union cards with Samsung Pay and Android Pay.

Samsung

Samsung Pay works in more stores than any other mobile payment service. It is accepted almost anywhere you can swipe or tap your credit card.

Transactions are easy. Swipe up to launch the app, secure with your fingerprint, and place your phone over the card reader to pay.

Plus, it’s safe. Your purchases remain yours alone. Samsung Pay uses several layers of security. It keeps your payment information separate and doesn’t store or share it, so you can pay without worry.

Samsung pay also has the option of using gift cards. In partnership with Blackhawk Network, Samsung Pay supports 50 popular merchant gift cards including Babies R Us and Toys R Us, Bass Pro Shops, Domino's, eBay, GameStop, Nike, Regal Entertainment Group and Staples.

The only problem is that it only works with a few phones: the GALAXY S6 EDGE +, GALAXY NOTE5, GALAXY S6 EDGE & S6, and the GALAXY S6 ACTIVE

Android

With Android Pay, you don’t even need to open an app. Just unlock your phone, place it near a contactless terminal and you’re good to go. Not only can you use it in the store, but soon you will be able to use it for in-app purchases on your phone. Android pay automatically applies loyalty points and offers at checkout too. Unlike Samsung pay, Android Pay allows the user to set a default card for their mobile wallet transactions.

It also keeps your card number safe by using a virtual account number that represents your account so your details stay secure. When you make a purchase you will see the merchant’s name and number with payment confirmation- so it is easy to catch any suspicious activity.
